Unsavoured the fruits and the spoil,
Of the mill powered too long,
By the essence of ancient toil,
Long perished beneath ancient suns!
Like a blossom out of season,
They'll wither soon and be gone
- Nothing left!
Though surely tomorrow will come,
Yet dimmer will seem every dawn.
Just as will the memory,
Of when each and all seemed so well.
- Don't forget!
I remember still...
Incredulous - they young will scarce be able to believe the bounty that was lost!
I remember still!
"And with the setting of each sun,
Mourn those days long gone,
Huddle bereft and forlorn,
Soothed with fictions of dawn!
So yearn, live long and learn!
Strive, Never Wise (though you'll die) nor an (with no) insight!
Reason has waned and made way for these Last Days of the Good Times!"
We had it made, our joy vouchsafed,
Assured of harvests that would never fail!
I wait for you still!
It's over now, but it's funny how,
We know that times run out and there's hell to pay!
I wait for you still!
"And with the setting of each sun,
Mourn those days long gone,
Huddle bereft and forlorn,
Soothed with fictions of dawn!
So yearn, live long and learn!
Strive, Never Wise (though you'll die) nor an (with no) insight!
Reason has waned and made way for these Last Days of the Good Times!"
I remember still - I wait for you still!

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
